The Rest of Us
This is for the rest of us. For all of us who have become outcasts over the last two years and counting. For all of us who have lost friends, jobs, and so much more simply because we chose not to put something into our bodies.
It may feel like we're out of options but that's not true. I suppose it depends on how willing we are to reach out and form a real community. One where we band together to create a place with abundant opportunities, the kind of opportunities that we feel boxed out of now simply because we are The Unvaccinated.
Who would have ever imagined there would be a time when that word alone would cause people to fall out of your life? People who you have known since before you could know you knew.
Who would have ever imagined that word would exclude you from pursuing your passions; from being invited to birthday parties; from being employed and being able to feed yourself and pay your bills; from being able to speak about it without being censored?
I suspect that I am not alone when I say that that last part makes all the other things, I listed almost impossible to bear.
It's not enough that we are pariahs somehow.
It's not enough that we are ostracized and threatened by the media and by people in powerful positions.
Oh, and it certainly isn’t enough that it's divided our families, cost us dear friends and led to the ruination of lives.
And heaven forbid it to be enough that we had to sacrifice our careers and the pursuit of our dreams and passions.
All these things and so much more just didn't cut it. It wasn't punishment enough for the crime of critical thinking and choosing what goes inside of our bodies. So, in addition, it had to be made clear that we couldn't talk about all these things on social media or even, in some instances, amongst friends and family in the comfort of our homes.
But you see I got to thinking and I realized that there are millions upon millions of us. So, what are we waiting for? Another meme on Instagram? I'm not judging because I do the same thing, but we must ask ourselves where that has gotten us. It seems to me that it has gotten us nowhere.
Collectively we have the energy, intelligence, and intuition to recreate so many different areas of society.
If you want to act, you can’t unless you're vaccinated. But is that true? What if we collectively started our own industry as it's clear with without this controversy Hollywood is perverted, corrupt, and on its way out.
If you're like me and you would love to work with youth again you have to be vaccinated. Or do you? There are plenty of places in the state of Florida that do not require this, and they are operating and thriving. And there are plenty of parents who need help for their kids and won't vaccinate their children so what's stopping us from opening our own treatment centers? Never mind the issue of vaccination these could be bastions of education and healing. Genuine education and healing.
I include myself when I say we simply have not been vocal enough. I'm sure there are plenty who would disagree with me. Perhaps they will cite some of the big names like Robert F Kennedy Jr, Dr. Robert Malone, or Steve kirsch. But the reality is we really must question whether these individuals are on our side. The real solution rests with our collective collaboration and our collective non-compliance.
In the not-so-distant future people will look back on this, the same people who fired us, stopped answering our calls, cast us to the margins of society, and they will wish that they had been one of us.
The rest of us. Because we are powerful. Because we are brave. Because we had the wherewithal to do the right thing when the pressure became extraordinarily difficult to endure.
History will look back fondly on the rest of us.
How will it look back on you?
